Your information, and what we do with it.
We collect as little as we can, keep it only as long as we need it, and never sell it. Last updated 6 September 2026.
Who we are
by JuhiC ("we", "us") is a semi-couture clothing house based in Manila, Philippines, selling online at byjuhic.com. For anything in this notice, write to hello@byjuhic.com.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number where required for delivery, and the details of what you bought. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment provider — we never see or store them.
When you write to us or book a call: your email address, anything you choose to tell us, and — if you send them for sizing advice — your measurements.
When you join the mailing list: your email address, and whether you open what we send.
When you browse: standard technical information your browser provides — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from.
Why we use it
To take and deliver your order, to answer you, to send the emails you asked for, to prevent fraud, to meet our tax and accounting obligations, and to understand which parts of the site are useful so we can improve them. Nothing else.
Our legal basis
Where the UK or EU GDPR applies to you: we process order information to perform our contract with you; marketing email on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time; fraud prevention, security and site improvement on our legitimate interests; and tax records because the law requires it.
Who else sees it
Only the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need: Shopify hosts the store and processes orders; PayPal processes payments; our shipping carriers deliver your parcel; our email provider sends the newsletter; Google hosts the booking calendar if you book a call. Each is bound to protect your information.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Ever.
Your information may be handled in countries other than your own, including the Philippines, the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the shop to work — keeping your cart, keeping you signed in, keeping checkout secure. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
We may also use analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages are read. These are optional, and where the law requires it you will be asked before any are set. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; the necessary ones will simply be set again on your next visit.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records for as long as the law requires, which is generally up to ten years. Mailing list details until you unsubscribe. Enquiries and measurements for up to two years, so we can help you again without asking twice. After that, we delete.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it for marketing, or ask us to send it to another provider. Write to hello@byjuhic.com and we will answer within thirty days. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough.
Children
The shop is not intended for anyone under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this notice changes we will post the new version here with a fresh date, and where the change is significant we will say so by email.
